Understanding Your Child's Test Scores

Title 1 is hosting the second event of the year on Friday, September 14th.  Parents and guardians of students are invited to SMS to meet with Mrs. Roberts and Ms. Stump between 1:00 and 4:00.  During this time they will review the WV General Summative Assessment the students took last school year, as well as the assessments students complete on STAR 360.  Parents and guardians will be provided with information regarding their child's academic strengths and weaknesses.  If you are unable to attend at this time, you may contact Mrs. Roberts (tcrobert@k12.wv.us) or Ms. Stump (robin.stump@k12.wv.us) to make an appointment for a later date.

We hope to see everyone at the next

National School Lunch Program

Roane County Schools will provide free breakfast and lunch to all Pre-K through 8th grade students for the 2017-2018 school year.  Families with a child in this grade do not need to apply for school breakfast and lunch benefits.

You can check online at www.schoolcafe.com to see if your child owes money on their meal account from previous school years.

Box Tops Collection
SMS collects Box Tops to raise funds to purchase new resources for our school library. Box Tops should be cut out and submitted in plastic bags or taped to a piece of paper in groups of 10 or 50.

Students may submit groups of 10 Box Tops to earn tickets as a part of the PBIS rewards program!

SchoolBlocks offers a unique and powerful personalized search system. A member of the public, searching for "homework" might see an announcement from the school as the first result. However, if the user is logged in, they would see their teacher’s latest homework assignment as the top result.
